This is Gian Marco La Serra, pianist and composer from Rome, Italy.
I started to study solfeggio at 6 years old, but at 9 I met the piano listening to a classmate of mine playing "Fur Elise" by Ludwig Van Beethoven; I fell in love with it. In 2006 I graduated at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, under the learning of Maestro Giovanna Crescentini.
My love for science and earth, led me to undertake geological studies at University; in these years I expanded my musical knowledges and abilities performing as a keyboardist with several bands and ensembles. I came back to piano in 2012, focusing on the composition, and in 2014 I released my first album Piano Solo.
The most I love to do with music is telling stories and conveying emotions. I believe in the beauty of nature, the background of an often difficult and stressing living, not allowing us to stop and reflect on ourselves and enjoy things that really matter. I ever hope that my music could take the listener and bring him away, in another place, far from everyday life.
I also believe in the power of the web, that allowed me to know great artists and collaborate with some of them (as bzur, Helen Green and Jeffrey J. Torres ) and to have a direct relation with my listeners.
My latest release and the first of 2026 is a new piano song written in collaboration with Andrea Moro, "Sempre"...
