Gibbs is a songwriting sister duo from Manila, Philippines composed of Chi & Gabs – With the name GIBBS taken from their surname. Growing up in a family of musicians, actors and directors, the girls have dabbled in different fields of art before they decided to pursue music. Some of their favorites growing up were ABBA, Pat Benetar, Fleetwood Mack and Hall & Oats, which led to their brand of music.
Their debut song No Hearts written by the sisters with their father Janno Gibbs has earned them awards as Best New Group Recording Artist and Best Pop Recording for 2020’s Awit Awards.
Chi who is the older one of the two, is a print designer and entrepreneur that founded local clothing brand Neon Island. Gabs on the other is a professional makeup artist who has practiced in Sydney and is now working as an ambassador for various International Makeup Brands.
