GINKGO GARDEN is the musical project of German composer and musician EDDY F. MUELLER. The name Ginkgo pays homage to the Ginkgo biloba, the oldest tree on Earth. Often called the "living fossil," the ginkgo is a unique phenomenon both in the plant world and in mythology. The ginkgo theme has been a source of inspiration in EDDY F. MUELLER's music. In the Garden, Eddy has planted complex instrumental themes, allowing them to flourish symbolically. His music is designed to stimulate the listeners’ senses. Eddy embraces William Shakespeare's motto: "I want to touch the people's hearts."
EDDY F. MUELLER has produced 11 LPs and CDs under his pseudonym BIRDY. BIRDY’s music was used extensively by the soundtrack specialist and music library SELECTED SOUND/EMI in Hamburg, appearing in over 2,000 films, videos, and commercials. For many years, Eddy fully immersed himself in the world of library music, with his work frequently featured in jingles for well-known products and famous brands. However, he yearned for a different kind of project—music created without being bound to a specific purpose. Inspired by the German TV documentary “Ginkgo, Leaves of Hope,” EDDY F. MUELLER created the musical endeavor GINKGO GARDEN.
