MYTHOS the duo of Bob D’Eith (piano/keyboards/producer/composer) and Paul Schmidt (classical guitar/composer) has been producing electro-acoustic music for 25 years, fusing classical, world, jazz, and electronic genres to create a unique blend of music that feels familiar yet darkly mysterious. Mythos’ 7th album release “XXV” features five captivating new tracks combined with nine re-mastered fan favorites. With over 80M streams, the group has also achieved sustained chart positions on the Billboard New Age Albums chart, won two West Coast Music Awards, and a JUNO Award nomination.
Mythos has teamed up a with dynamic list of accomplished artists throughout their career ranging from the soaring vocals of preeminent jazz vocalists Jennifer Scott and Christine Duncan, contemporary vocals from Jasmine Parkin (Mother Mother) and the late John Bottomley, the amazing vibes of renowned bassist Rene Worst (Skywalk), world percussion from Pepe Danza, and a string quartet from members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. In the sound design department, Mythos has synergistically worked with amazing engineers including Emmy Award winning sound designer Mark Hensley and Grammy nominee Shawn Pierce. They also collaborated with distinguished director Neill Blomkamp (District 9) for one of their music videos.
