Gino J - someone who creates music that makes you want to dance or fall in love, influenced equally by the UK rap scene & the Congolese music of his heritage. His debut EP Casanova is a work of seductive R&B that includes the lush melodies of single's, ‘Questions’, featuring UK Afrobeats legend <a href="spotify:artist:2o9hRZ3xI27UQpHT61A4Mm" data-name="Kojo Funds">Kojo Funds</a> and ‘Brandy’, with <a href="spotify:artist:2BPwxhCvvcb8xDl8GWIjbh" data-name="Odeal">Odeal</a>, & five more tracks of catchy vocals & irresistible rhythms.
Following breakout singles like ‘Palm Angels’, ‘London Dungeon’ (both 2020) and ‘Cartier’ (2019), Gino has fine-tuned his sound & now talks with the maturity of someone who’s been in music for a lifetime.
Gino was born & raised in between sectors of Congo, (DRC) & Newham, (East London). Thanks to his parents he was exposed to the music of Congolese artists like <a href="spotify:artist:7e14Bh8oZXNRmZxjhhTARb" data-name="Koffi Olomide">Koffi Olomide</a> & <a href="spotify:artist:6IflU2YrY5Cyw7YoBICosV" data-name="Fally Ipupa">Fally Ipupa</a> via the stereo, before later getting into rappers such as 50 Cent & Akon. His heritage also meant he grew up speaking French, a language he occasionally blends into his music, as heard on single ‘H24 Dans L'Tiekson (Dangereux)’, a collaboration with French vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:3L774tiJRvPmAS90pOLB44" data-name="Rsko">Rsko</a>
