Gio is a London-based artist, producer, procurer, and DJ Gio Estaban . His 2018 deput EP Pre-dubb teased us with layers of insinuative guitars and vocal rhythms written seamlessly on tissue paper. The Sun noted that "he has a provocative sense of truth that almost feels... cyclical." His 2019 Album Odubb, written and recorded solely in his bed, plays with ideas of mortality, funky basslines, and indigenous polyphony. Written and recorded from his studio in Anaheim, the album takes on an almost agnatic approach to storytelling, romance, and BPM (Beats per Minute.)
