Giovanni Allevi, the world-renowned composer and pianist, is responsible for a profound renewal in educated music, and has brought back the art of composition to the attention of the new generations. He has a diploma in piano and composition, and a degree in philosophy, where his thesis was on “Vacuums in Contemporary Physics”. He has appeared at the most important concert halls in the world, from New York’s Carnegie Hall to La Scala in Milan and the auditorium of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Thanks to his intellectual commitment, he is a philosophical point of reference on concepts of innovation and analysis of change. His latest book is entitled "I nove doni" (The nine gifts). A large number of degree theses have been written about him, and he has been given an Italian knighthood as a Cavaliere della Repubblica for artistic and cultural merit. He has also won the Stella d'Oro al Valor Mozartiano (Gold Star for Mozartian Valour), the Falcone and Borsellino Prize, and as a Save the Children ambassador he is in the front line in defending children’s rights. He has won recognition from Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis and the Nobel Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev. The American space agency NASA has named an asteroid after him. He was recently the star and presenter of an innovative docuseries on: “Allevi in the jungle”. From the notes of the single "Our Future" starts the composer’s collaboration with Earth Day European Network, to protect the Planet.
