GIS MISSION COMPLETE - 2016-2024

Formed in 2016, London-based trio Girls In Synthesis have long been one of the most visceral and exciting live acts in the UK.

Two albums, numerous EP and mini-album releases deep, 2020&#39;s &#39;<a href="spotify:album:0Nslk845jc67NwcMo2hyYd" data-name="Now Here&#39;s An Echo From Your Future">Now Here&#39;s An Echo From Your Future</a>&#39;, and 2023&#39;s &#39;<a href="spotify:album:7LcpcH89G6aREuzYqqQgHd" data-name="The Rest Is Distraction">The Rest Is Distraction</a>&#39; received critical acclaim across the board for their experimental, intense and abrasive take on post-punk, with lyrical content that focuses on human, internal mental struggles, leaving the banner waving and sloganeering to the current crop of UK groups. &#39;<a href="spotify:album:2ARMZHJiFxX46oOiMx4TVH" data-name="Enveloped">Enveloped</a>&#39; from the 2022 German release &#39;<a href="spotify:album:6YcLL8M6l5URthXJBNRf59" data-name="Konsumrausch">Konsumrausch</a>&#39; added dark electronics and drum machines into the mix, while recently released single &#39;<a href="spotify:album:6AwcFEmUekZThi33dUM2cx" data-name="I Know No Other Way">I Know No Other Way</a>&#39; stripped back some of the noisier elements of their sound, and replaced it with glassy clarity and a cold sparseness.

Their third album, &#39;<a href="spotify:album:75W0EOcGqVWr2PQJ1Bnd2J" data-name="Sublimation">Sublimation</a> &#39;, was announced for release on 3rd May 2024 with lead single &#39;<a href="spotify:track:6l6oKJtJPZYya0G3ixmOLS" data-name="Lights Out">Lights Out</a>&#39; released on 8/3/24. The album is said to be a change in sound for the band, evoking their take on a dark and twisted pop album.

In January 2025, the group announced their split.
