GL Shawn

GL SHAWN, whose real name is „Shawnday Ackeem McGhie was born in St Ann's Bay hospital Jamaica on December, 6 1995. Shawnday grew up in the infamous Steer Town ghetto in the parish of St Ann. From the age of 14 years GL SHAWN was always dreaming of becoming a star in the music industry. At that time he started by making little nursery rhymes and singing to himself.

In 2008 Shawnday decided to study music at his high school, Marcus Garvey Technical by working on his vocals and learning musical notes and music theory basics. After he finished high school he started working in the entertainment field by singing, Mc`ing and dancing etc. He migrated from Jamaica to Europe, Palma de Mallorca Baleares Island, where he is working in the entertainment industry.
When he visited Germany in 2019, he got introduced to Michael “Juggla“ Minott also known as TALAWAH, who is a well established selector in the european dancehall scene. As Juggla and his brother saw potential in GL SHAWN all parties decided to put some work together. „SUPM OUTTA SUPM“ is the first single out of this collaboration and there is more to come.
