Since forming in 2019, Danish entity GLEMSEL have gained notoriety for their cold and aggressive black metal combined with introspective, melancholic and atmospheric elements in both sound and subject matter.
With their debut "Unavngivet" released by Vendetta Records in early 2020, Glemsel came onto the scene with a modern take on classic black metal, sparking interest from the Danish and European underground.
The band spent the subsequent years developing and expanding their sound through increased live-activity and the self-released "Demo", which saw the band fusing traditional black metal aesthetics with an expanded songwriting-approach and a minimalistic and subdued production.
This ultimately culminated in the 2022 full-length "Forfader", released by Vendetta Records once again. Revolving around the loss of time, life, memory and loved ones, the album stands as the artistic pinnacle of the band's career so far. As their most ambitious project to date, "Forfader" received critical praise and gained the band a small and dedicated following in the underground. Glemsel spent the following 2.5 years touring and playing festivals in Europe and the UK.
Always firmly rooted in an underground and "DIY" mentality, Glemsel are currently working on a follow-up to 2022's "Forfader".
