She flows like water, in her natural element as she moves through the artistic mediums as a Neo Soul/R&B singer-songwriter and a movement artist.
Born & raised on Gadigal Land of the Eora Nation (Sydney, Australia), the depth of GLO’s musical versatility grew from her multilayered experience growing up in Australia as an East African woman, influenced by her upbringing with her siblings and single mother.
Growing up, GLO would spend hours watching and learning the choreography of her most significant influences including Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Destiny’s Child, and Brandy, to name of few.
Fast forward to 2018, GLO shared the stage with superstar Solange Knowles as a movement coordinator for her 2018 Vivid Sydney Headline show at the Opera House.
GLO’s debut single ‘Self Love ft. Saskia’ was released in the spring of 2019 which, climbed to 2nd most played song on FBi Radio.
Her second release ‘Transmute’ in 2020 landed GLO her first FBi Award nomination for ‘Best Video’ and ‘Next Big Thing’ in 2021.
In March of 2023, GLO released her debut EP entitled ‘CATHARSIS Vol.1’ which received widespread support landing a Spotify cover and placement on Fresh Finds, and placements on R&B Feels and R&B Connect to name a few. In the same month, GLO put on an EP launch for ‘CATHARSIS Vol.1’ which was her first sold-out show.
