Venturing into music for Shaneek James, meant that she had realized her nonpareil appreciation for the musical and performing arts.
The Jamaica bred recording artiste who goes by the stage name Goal Digga was born to parents Beverly Morris and Paul James. Described by her peers as a “Goal Digger” Shaneek maximized on the title and decided she would use it as her stage name. Goal Digga had an older brother who passed away who, along with her mother serve as her main motivation for journeying on the path to success.
The artiste who grew up in Westmoreland, Jamaica attended the Peters’ Field High School before moving to Kingston to finish her secondary education at the Holy Trinity High School. While attending high school, Goal Digga developed an unequivocal musical persona and would freestyle songs during her free periods as a fun pass time. If not for music, the now, New York based singjay would have ventured in the filed of aviation as an air hostess. With consistency being the driving force behind her career, Goal Digga draws inspiration from legends such as, Lady Saw, Sean Paul, Patra and Vybz Kartel. Describing her style of music as Dancehall/ Pop-Afrobeat, Goal Digga’s main objective is to produce music that speaks to every demographic.
