GOLAN is an electronic group formed in Bucharest, Romania. Best known for being one of the first local acts to combine electronic music with acoustic instruments, vocal melodies, and sampling in a unique way, their musical backgrounds blend classic and jazz influences, melodic compositions, and songwriting with contemporary electronic music. Formed in late 2013, the group has experienced one of the quickest ascents in the Romanian alternative music scene, becoming instant headliners nationwide. Since then, they’ve toured across many countries and experimented with live performance formats, ranging from two members to a full sixty-piece orchestra, drawing tens of thousands of attendees. Since 2022, Golan has dedicated their time and energy to releasing music solely for the dance floor scene and currently performs in a hybrid format that combines infectious house and minimal-influenced grooves with live vocals and instruments in an electrifying set. Performing on the main stages of Sunwaves Festival, Electric Castle, or Fabrika Festival, as well as at club events in venues such as Guest House or Kantine am Bhergain, their hybrid set has become a must-see for any electronic music enthusiast.
