Gold Jacks return with a new EP - ‘OVER + OUT’
Gold Jacks’ first return since 2017, sees them in a contemplative frame of mind. Staying true to their blues-rock origins, the band are in a reflective mood after a few years away.
In ‘SLIP AWAY’ Stewart airs out his frustrations of not being able to hold onto what he once had.
‘I’M ALL YOURS’ is a pensive, haze-induced surrender to escapism.
The EP title track, ‘OVER + OUT’, is the final goodbye. With Stewart conceding there’s no way back from here, nowhere left to turn. Backed by sweeping strings and a melancholy swoon, Gold Jacks will be on their way now.
Gold Jacks are
Stewart Burns - Vocals / Guitar
Liam Dunning - Guitar
Tom Smith - Bass
James Gaskell - Percussion
"Groove-heavy indie anthems in the vein of early Black Keys. Guitarist Liam's growling, garage-rock-inspired riffs are offsets by frontman Stew's rich, soulful voice, which occasionally recalls Stereophonics' Kelly Jones" - Q Magazine
" The no nonsense blood that swims happily in the veins of all four members of Gold Jacks is one that is enhanced by the fact that they have the potential to become one of the best bands to come out of Manchester" - Liverpool Sound & Vision
