The Sea (brothers Peter and Alex) exploded onto the music scene with their debut single ‘Love Love Love’ to rave reviews across world’s music press ‘Single of The Week/Month’ in The Guardian, The Fly, Rocksound and Kerrang
Their debut album ‘Get It Back’ got multiple ‘Album of The Month/Week’ throughout the world.
UK, EU and US tours followed with a plethora of stunning live reviews.
The 1st single from their 2nd album ‘New York’ was a radio hit, particularly in Germany, where it charted.
The 2nd album ‘Rooftops’ followed with world wide touring, supporting <a href="spotify:artist:12Chz98pHFMPJEknJQMWvI" data-name="Muse">Muse</a> The Kills, James Morrison and festival performances at; SXSW, Glastonbury, CMJ, Eurosonic, M Pour Montréal, amongst others.
Their next single <a href="spotify:track:0mLJe3V3ni83MPDr7EarMp" data-name="Get Up, Stand Up, Die.">Get Up, Stand Up, Die.</a> was released to huge acclaim playlisted on: BBC radio 1, BBC 6 Music and XFM
Followed by album ‘1808’ and a 60 date tour of the UK and EU.
Exhausted from life on the road, in 2015 The Sea split.
Peter went on to work under the name <a href="spotify:artist:1X2QW4h31G6RWgQikFkllc" data-name="Lives">Lives</a> releasing 2 EPs and an album <a href="spotify:album:0vFfL5quBqOrcd1XDJqoKY" data-name="Bayonne 21">Bayonne 21</a>
And the 2 brothers lived a separate existence…any idea of them reuniting seemed impossible.
Until…A phone call, Alex asked Peter and asked if he fancied doing something? Peter said yes and so, into the studio with producer John Cornfield and now with the addition of their old friend Daniel Billing on bass…they got to work.
In 2024 LiVES transitioned from a solo project to a 3 piece band
The boys are back! Against all the odds, they’re back! Older, wiser, LOUDER than ever!
