Gowdie Ranks

Opal Deron Gowdie,Hailing from the parish of St Mary In Jamaica, his natural flare for music saw him emerging on the dancehall scene at the age of 16. He initially began his music career working with local sound systems, such as Super Rock High Power and SirG’s international.
His first recording Champion became a big hit in Jamaica, earning him a name on the dancehall scene. In 1990, Gowdie met G Vibes, who produced another hit single for him, Miss Goodie Goodie. Gowdie went on to record more singles for noted producers, such as Top Secret, Jazzy Creations and the legand Bobby Digital. Gowdie now has his own label VIS Records which has recently released the Zion Way Riddim and the Index riddim both albums produced by Gowdie and featuring many big names including Sizzla, Anthony B, Gregory Isaacs, Freddie McGregor to name a few. Gowdie took a brake for a while but in 2020 Gowdie and VIS RECORDS release The 3 The Good Way (Warrior Race) featuring Anthony B Gowdie Ranks and Jah Mason , The Boxer Riddim a ten track completion album with the likes of The Mighty Diamonds, Delly Ranx, Jah Mason to name a few, he also release a single with juliaiasiah a female singer from Germany. 2021 Saw him release a brand new album for Courtney Melody title Better Day, the singer/producer is getting ready to release his album Who Fi Get Burn this summer and will feature Mykal Rose Tyrical Errol Dunkly and Harry Toddler, His latest single Presedent Evil is out now.
