Some people write a book to process all the good and bad moments that have shaped their lives, some write songs to share what they have experienced, and let other people find themselves in it. For both, writers and musicians, the journey is the reward.
But for some it takes a little while to dare and take others with you.
After more than 22 years of making music in bands, GRANDT, alias Marcus Grossmann, is venturing down this path alone for the first time. With his debut EP Milestones he has worked out some chapters of his book of life in the form of songs.
It's a big step out of his own comfort zone. More than ever, GRANDT opens up about himself and the stories of his life. The things that won't let him go. Milestones is mainly about farewells, loss and pain, but also about new beginnings and the struggle for change.
Since his first teenage punk band, the DIY attitude has been an integral part of GRANDT‘s music. So naturally, also on Milestones, everything is completely handmade, from the songwriting to the music to the production in the bedroom home studio.
Take a seat in the passenger seat and he will take you along for the ride.
