Grasspipe is from Cainta Rizal, Philippines and officially joined the music scene in 2000. During this time, the band discovered its unique sound, bordering to punk, alternative rock, prog, grunge to new metal, which are bits and pieces of influences shared by each of the band's members. Grasspipe's music is often compared to post-hardcore bands which were in full swing in 2003, often described as an aggressive kind of music inspired by post-punk and noise rock.
