Gregg Young is an international award-winning guitarist, singer, songwriter, and owner and founder of Shore Records. He is a voting member of The Recording Academy (Grammys), songwriter/composer/publisher member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and has been the Music Director at the iconic Cinerama Dome at the ArcLight Hollywood for over a decade, until Covid-19 hit.
Gregg, originally from San Francisco, was signed to a major label recording contract in his teens and had an “NFL or NBA” musical experience while touring and recording. He has been in shows that included acts, such as Jimi Hendrix, Steve Miller, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Linda Ronstadt, Iron Butterfly, War, José Feliciano and others.
Gregg's album "Alcatraz" was considered in two Grammy categories, Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Best American Roots Performance. Currently, his song "Together (Hk)" is being considered for the Grammys for Best Remixed Recording.
Aside from his solo work, Gregg also leads multi-genre, international award-winning Gregg Young & The 2nd Street Band.
