Greycreek is a project by Adelaide/Kaurna-based Rohan Francis Foale. It was created as a way to voice his existential thoughts and the societal and political frustrations of young people in Australia, all over a 90's/00's inspired rock backdrop.
His new single, She's Said It All, was written with the help of his partner, who works in family, sexual, and domestic violence (FDSV) support, in wake of the 103 Australian femicide victims in 2024 to:
- Articulate their frustrations about how women are treated in our society in spite of constant solutions long offered, and;
- Highlight how our patriarchal society, that gives an advantage to men, is the same society to perpetuates archaic gender norms that bring men down
The message of the song, and its namesake, is simple: she’s said it all. Women have been voicing their oppression and its solutions in society for decades, but it always seems to fall upon deaf ears.
