Grim Steez

Grim Steez, also known as Giana, is a female vocalist based on the East Coast. Giana started her musical career as “Mantra Sounds” an electronic bass music DJ/producer. As Giana started growing into herself as an artist, she wanted to add more lyrical elements into her works. When Giana started to incorporate vocals into her music she didn’t feel like her lyrics matched up with the Mantra Sounds project due to their dark ambiance. Because of their differences, Giana launched the Grim Steez project to keep them as two separate entities. Grim Steez embodies a persons aura and mood; someone that is quiet and humble but intriguing, eerie, and different. The vision for the project unintentionally but naturally drifted into something darker and it is the rawest element of Giana’s musical journey to date. Life is not always full of rainbows and butterflies and Grim isn’t afraid to remind you of that. Unfortunately, there are negative and dark energies that surround us everyday; these entities are not something we should run or hide from but something we must learn to accept and coexist with.
