After a series of self-releases in his mid teens, Guy Middleton AKA Guido met Bristol legend, Peverelist (Punch Drunk) at Rooted Records around 2006.
Peverelist gave Guido his first break releasing singles Orchestral Lab and Beautiful Complication on the Punch Drunk label. This was followed by the release of his critically acclaimed debut album “Anidea’ in 2010.
The Guardian saying - "Bristolian Guido stands out as one of the most gifted [composers]. He arranges sound with an elegant precision, as though painting a still life."
Guido was also heavily involved with producers Joker and Gemmy through the ‘purple’ sound.
Following his second album “Moods of Future Joy’ released on the Tectonic label Guido took a break from releasing new music. After an extensive period travelling, he is back in the studio, invigorated, inspired and releasing new tunes on his own label ‘State of Joy’.
