He is a musician, entertainer, diploma educator, talk show host, operetta and musical performer, Ambassador of the SKY Foundation and frontman of the band "Guildo Horn & Die Orthopädischen Strümpfe“ ( The orthopedic stockings)
.He performed the song "Guildo hat Euch lieb!" (lit.: "Guildo loves you") for Germany at The Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham and he finished in seventh place.
Before starting his singing career, he studied pedagogy and worked with mentally disabled people.
In 2006, he starts with a unique talk show on German television: "Guildo and his Guests" In his late-night talk show Guildo was reminisce exciting events of the week, talking with mentally handicapped adults. The show was nominated twice for the Grimme Award.
