Blending electronic roots with R&B and hip-hop since her 2019 singles, Güneş made her massive breakthrough with “Dua” featuring Uzi. The track surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify, earning her the “Best Breakthrough Artist of the Year” award in 2020. In 2021, Apple Music launched its “Rising Stars” program in Turkey with Güneş, further cementing her status as an industry force.
