Guthrie Trio

Guthrie Trio are a Blues inspired West Australia Reggae & Rock band from the Rockingham/Mandurah Region.

Guthrie Trio was formed early in 2015. Guthrie called upon friends Max Carter & Jase Le Scelle to join him in the studio to help create a full sounding album release. After a very successful launch, the guys decided to start gigging the album across the state as a band.

In 2020 after a change in lineup and refresh of styles, Guthrie Trio released a five track EP called “Fresh Ground”, showcasing a variety of compositions with meaningful messages and a mix of danceable rhythms, warm tones and catchy hooks. In 2021 the band filmed their first music video for “Legal Lies” with the help of Peter Renzullo from Scudley Film & Records. This video was later nominated for a variety of awards and made it into the selection for notable international film festivals including the American Golden Picture International Film Festival and winning an award from the Virgin Spring Cinefest.

In 2020 Guthrie Trio won the Australian Cannabis Industry “Artist of the Year” award for their release “Fresh Ground”, and in 2021 the boys won the same title for their music videos “Legal Lies” and “Inhale The Good Shit”.

In 2022 Guthrie Trio released three independent releases “Freedom of Choice (Single)”, “Seeds of Change : Revegetation (3 Track EP)” and “In The End (Single)”. Guthrie Trio’s music is available to stream and download via www.GuthrieMusic.com or via Spotify, iTunes, YouTube & more.
