Born out of high school friends Fraser Telfer (guitar/vocals), Dan Rock (bass) and Dom Bell (drums), along with guitarist Yasin Leflef, Gymnastics In The Seventies deliver an infectious indie pop energy, influenced by catchy mid-70s new wave and Australian surf rock. Forming in 2015, they have garnered a dedicated local following, developing “a trademark sound characterised by angular guitar riffs and captivating melodic hooks” (Triple J). After a long hiatus finishing degrees, travelling, recording and gigging with other projects, Gymies are back in business with new sounds, new personnel, new heartbreak, new loves and new flavours to savour.
