H Jandu (Hardip Singh Jandu) — born and raised in the West Midlands — brings together the depth of Punjabi folk and the grit of UK hip-hop culture.
From a young age, listening to Punjabi music, I always dreamed of becoming a music producer — and an artist who would one day perform on stage. It was a long-held vision, and I’m truly grateful to have been blessed by Waheguru with the talent to now pursue that dream.
Influenced by the sounds of Surinder Kaur, Ranjit Kaur, Gulshan Komal, and legends like Kuldeep Manak, Amar Singh Chamkila, Surjit Bhindrakhia, my musical foundation is rooted in truth, story, and soul. At the same time, producers like Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Scott Storch opened up a different side — one of rhythm, edge, and sonic innovation.
Over the years, I’ve made small but meaningful contributions to the industry through ghost production and remix work — mostly behind the scenes. But now, it’s time to bring my own sound to the surface.
I'm currently working on my debut album, a project that will be unapologetically experimental — blending garage, bhangra, dubstep, and more. This isn’t about staying in one lane; it’s about pushing the sound of Punjabi music to new heights.
I want to challenge how Punjabi music is heard — not just through traditional forms, but through genre-bending, energy-driven production that speaks to a new generation while still honouring the old.
Expect bold sounds. Expect raw rhythm. where culture, identity, and sound collide.
