HALF EGO is a pop-rock-rooted band that began in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, in February 2025. Once school-time rivals in music, we unexpectedly grew into friends—and even more unexpectedly, into a band. Built from the clash and harmony of our individual egos, we embrace freedom in sound—our debut may be pop rock, but the future might lead us to pop reggae, progressive rock, or something entirely different. We’re a trio of voices and visions: Dino (vocals) based in Jakarta, Fajar (guitar) and Bayu (guitar) based in Palangka Raya. Though we live in different cities, HALF EGO is our common ground for uninhibited musical expression.
