<a href="spotify:artist:2ZC302GonME55HbKImzfDN" data-name="Half Zaftig">Half Zaftig</a> was formed in the mid-aughts by guitarist and songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:3BnxwT6tJFzCUIdYQfzxRl" data-name="Shawn Farley">Shawn Farley</a> with bassist Lizzy Daymont and drummer Pete Johnston to play a bunch of the music from Shawn's solo albums <a href="spotify:album:4eB9ZHWVjIOIsl4fpHbCgZ" data-name="Any Raw Flesh?">Any Raw Flesh?</a> and <a href="spotify:album:0I83Q33UBB8ydN9GvtjMWR" data-name="Salve">Salve</a> live. In 2007 they released their only full-length LP, <a href="spotify:album:4awUNPMTwAD67YBJj5D20X" data-name="Life Like Luster">Life Like Luster</a>.
In 2009, Shawn began a new solo project he called "5240" where he wrote, recorded, and mixed a brand-new song once a week for a year, resulting in 52 new songs over that year. Half Zaftig contributed to two of these tracks, "Help Is On The Way" and "Sometimes Just Makin' Out Can Be Fun (Sometimes)", neither of which are currently on Spotify (boo!), but will be after they are remixed and remastered (yay!).
Half Zaftig went on hiatus when Shawn moved to Los Angeles in 2011, but you never know.
