Brisbane singer/songwriter Nathan Lockwood established Halfday as an indie force with the debut album "Now We're Happy". That release gave us the singles I Feel Fine, Turn Me On, You Make Me Want to Clean My Room and Heavy, all of which received high rotation on Australia's Triple J, rage and significant airplay in college stations across the US.
Then Nathan prepared for us a delicious feast with his 2nd album under the Halfday moniker, "Giants on the Foreshore" containing the singles Betty, William and Lavarie.
Halfday have reached the heights of indiedom in Australia, having performed at the Homebake and Livid festivals, supported national heroes like The Whitlams as well as (with fellow Brisbanite Mishelle Bradford Jones) supported international superstars Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music.
They even starred in a Hollywood movie! That's right, the band were featured as themselves and performed a cover of Weezer's "Island in the Sun" alongside Emma Roberts in the coming of age movie "Aquamarine".
