Legendary influential Trance Band hailing from the San Francisco bay area. Hamsa Lila exploded on the music scene in 2001 quickly gaining a large following and within a year headlining at the Fillmore in San Francisco and touring major festivals throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. An unlikely intersection of skinned instruments from morocco meeting funky drums with soaring vocals based on shamanic and global chants from many countries. Later combining elements of electronic music. Hamsa Lila featured, Ian "Inkx" Herman on drums (Legendary South African drummer who performed shows with Sting, Paul Simon, Hugh Masakela and many others), M.J Greenmountain, Vir McCoy (The Dogon Lights,House of Hamsa), Evan Fraser (now of Dirtwire), Deja Solis, Nikila Badua, Beryl Jacobson, John Schroeder, Sarita Pockell and Andrea Vechione. Hamsa Lila put out two superb albums Gathering One (Spike Lee licsenced Oshun) and Auroura, as well as live in Santa Cruz.
