Hannah Fairchild

Dubbed “The Dorothy Parker of Punk” by one of her friends when they were hammered, Hannah Fairchild is a composer, lyricist, performer, and aspiring Final Girl based in Brooklyn, NY. Fed up with playing grandmothers at 22, Hannah abandoned her musical theater acting BFA almost immediately after moving to New York in 2005. Instead, she pursued songwriting and deeply terrible men throughout the mid oughts, both of which eventually led to her acclaimed art punk band Hannah vs The Many.

Hannah vs The Many recorded three albums and were about to record a fourth in May 2020, which went about as well as you imagine. Unable to perform, Hannah spent lockdown teaching herself Logic and Finale and began writing for theater and film. Since then, her scores have been featured in several horror shorts and narrative podcasts. Her musical The Battle of Blythe Road (which is about both socialism and the occult) was performed in concert at Green Room 42 in 2023. She was a finalist for the 2023 Jonathan Larson Grant and joined the acclaimed filmmakers’ collective Filmshop in 2024.

Hannah loves Halloween but usually can’t be fucked to come up with a costume, so she’s been using the same bottle of fake blood to be a vampire for the last eight years.
