Harmony Adesola, better known as HARMZ, is a rising force in Canadian music. Known for his genre-blending sound mixing hip-hop, rap, pop, and rock he brings global roots from Nigeria and South Africa into his work, now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
HARMZ has earned four ECMA nominations, three Music Nova Scotia Nominations , and four ANSMA nominations. In 2024 he won ANSMA emerging artist of the year. He’s shared stages with Don Toliver, Nav, Destroy Lonely, and Neon Dreams, showcasing a magnetic live presence and commanding artistry.
His 2021 debut album The Best is Yet to Come earned a Music Nova Scotia nomination, and his 2023 EP Better Watch, featuring Lindsay Misiner and MAJE, won the 2024 Music Nova Scotia award for Hip-Hop/Rap Recording of the Year and earned another ECMA nod.
Beyond music, HARMZ is a skilled filmmaker, working with creatives like Nikita Morris and Nathan D. Simmons. His short film Doc: Am I OK? dives into emotional themes, marking a bold step into a new era of artistry. He was recently nominated for ECMA’s Video Director of the Year.
A co-founder of the Nova Scotia collective PRZM, HARMZ uplifts local talent including, Alvaro BASYL Jéa Kayo Quoia States and many others and. He also hosts the podcast Behind the Sound, amplifying artist voices across the East Coast.
