Hausfraus

Starting out as an <a href="spotify:artist:7Ln80lUS6He07XvHI8qqHH" data-name="Arctic Monkeys">Arctic Monkeys</a> cover band, Hausfraus have always had a passion for the true indie soundscape. In tenth grade, drummer Jon Sigurd and four stringer Vemund played at a school party with two other classmates. The performance was well received by the audience, as well as a positive experience for the founding band members. Luckily Jon Sigurd and Vemund chose to continue with their somewhat newfound hobby. Not long after, they met up with guitarist Axel and singer Jo to form the band now known as Hausfraus.


As they all were born in the 90’s, the indie rock rhythm and genre in general has stuck with them. With inspirational sources such as <a href="spotify:artist:0Ya43ZKWHTKkAbkoJJkwIB" data-name="The Wombats">The Wombats</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0XNa1vTidXlvJ2gHSsRi4A" data-name="Franz Ferdinand">Franz Ferdinand</a>, the band continue to make genuine, feel-good indie rock music with their very own personal twist. With song lyric themes ranging between everything from forbidden love to food, this band is all about experimenting and having fun with their music, something that really can be heard in the finished products.


In 2018 Hausfraus decided to mix it up by doing their first songs in Norwegian, and they are still experimenting with both old and new songs. 2018 was also the year Hausfraus singed a deal with Norwegian record label and publisher MTG Music. Now, the quartet is working full speed on delivering new music to the masses.
