The Canadian modern rock outfit Headstrong plucked their rock & roll strut and punk rock snarls from the likes of 311, Stone Temple Pilots, and Helmet for something raw and potentially mainstream. Comprised of Matt Kinna (vocals), Jon Cohen (bass), Joel Krass (guitar), and Brian Mathews (drums), Headstrong initially began as BOMB 32 in their native London, Ontario, in the late '90s. They used the power and popularity of www.farmclub.com to spread their music and RCA took notice. First single "All of the Above" was quite successful and allowed Headstrong to perform on the Farmclub stage in Los Angeles during summer 2000. Two years later, they issued a self-titled debut. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
