The result of frustrations with their previous band's direction, Headway was founded in 2003 by singer and guitarist David Wright and his good friend, guitarist Joe Watts. The rhythm section was soon added in the form of Dave Astbury on bass and Johnny Dakers on drums (Dakers would be replaced by Jay Wright soonafter). Keyboardist Tom Harrison came on board last, but not least. The band signed to Silvertone, a sub-label of Interscope and Universal, and were in the recording studios working on their debut in late 2007 -- early 2008. ~ Chris True, Rovi
