Hedda Mae

From music that feels indebted to retro 60s girl groups to 90s R&B and beyond, queen of pop Hedda Mae has a unique talent: absorbing a variety of familiar influences to create futuristic pop music that is entirely her own sound. Heavily influenced by her favorite music from the 90s and 00s, her music blends contemporary pop with a nostalgic twist. Being described as distinctive, colorful and energetic retro-pop, Hedda Mae’s unique sound has undeniably served as a fresh addition to the Norwegian music scene.

Since Hedda Mae burst onto the music scene in 2020, she has garnered significant attention nationally and internationally. Over the past few years, she has released a series of glorious pop EPs, been featured as one of the artists on NRK’s national TV show "De Neste," and played at festivals such as Moldejazz, The Great Escape and SPOT. She also joined Kakkmaddafakka on their 2022 EU tour, performing at large venues all around Europe. After releasing her latest EP, Hedda received praise from national and international press, with DN concluding that “Hedda Mae makes perfect pop” and claiming her to be “one of the best pop artists in Norway.”

In 2024, Hedda Mae marks the beginning of a new era. Almost two years after her last EP release, she is ready for a brand-new chapter in her musical career. With excellent reviews in newspapers such as Aftenposten, Dagens Næringsliv, and Bergens Tidende, she once again solidifies her position in the Norwegian music industry.
