heka

heka (aka Francesca Brierley) is an experimental artist and producer whose work merges folk, lo-fi electronic, field recordings, and intimate songwriting into hybrid compositions. With roots in visual art and a practice influenced by collage and creative computing, she crafts music that moves fluidly between the personal and the conceptual, the organic and the digital. Her songs challenge genre boundaries while remaining emotionally resonant and sonically immersive.

In the space between signal and noise, voice becomes texture, melody becomes fragment; the border between memory and invention is porous. heka’s work blurs song and sound piece, intimacy and experiment. Nothing is fixed, each track is a shifting surface situated starkly between dream and confession, and the songs draw on love, loss, nostalgia, nature and philosophy.
