Hernán Kerlleñevich (Bahía Blanca, 1980) is a composer, performer, sound artist, teacher and researcher. He lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He composes original music and works in sound design for film, theater and video art. He was part of the National Film Chamber Orchestra, directed by Fernando Kabusacki, with which he improvised live music for silent films at the Malba, the ENERC, the Usina de las Artes and the Public Television. His work as an artist includes interactive sound installations, audiovisual performances, site-specific sound interventions, compositions for instruments and electronics, interdisciplinary projects and open works. His individual work and collaborations have been exhibited and awarded at Feldversuch (Vienna), Teatro Colón (Bs As), Biennale di Venezia, Centro Cultural Recoleta (Bs As), CCEBA (Bs As), EAC (Uruguay), Fundación Telefónica Space (Bs As), Castagnino Museum (Arg) Ars Electronica (Austria), Cannes Festival, Cultural Center of Science (Bs As), among others. He was a founding member of the artistic collective Buenos Aires Sonora, member of Operadora and Marder. He is a professor in artistic careers at the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, the Universidad del Cine and the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes, from which he graduated with a degree in Music Composition with Electroacoustic Media and where he is currently finishing his PhD, with a scholarship from the CONICET.
