Highpoint is a highly charged Texas band formed in 1998. Tim Bottoms, Jesse Guess, Brandon (Bam Bam) Bailey , and Ryan Brannan grew up within a few miles of each other and soon started jamming at Tim's "party house" on Highpoint Rd. for friends and family. Their musical backgrounds are different but their commitment to music is the same. The sound is a moody mix of metal, blues, acoustic rock, funk, and soul. After much success playing locally, they released their first album,“Storyteller”. The song, “Lerado” was quickly put in rotation on local radio and Highpoint ultimately won second place in Ed McMahon's American Band Star Search competition. With the addition of Josh Woodward on bass, Highpoint really began to take off. Touring the US, Mexico, and Canada sharing the stage with bands such as Nickelback, Incubus, Saliva, Sevendust, and Eyes Adrift (with members of Nirvana and Sublime). It was during this time, Highpoint produced their second album,“Pop Cure”. The song “Sink to Swim” was featured as the theme song for the tv show,“Hooked on Adventure”. Ryan then took time off to focus on his acting career and his role on the soap opera “All My Children”. Highpoint joined back together to record their third album, appropriately titled,“Lazarus”. The newest members to the Highpoint family, Raymond Chambers and Justin Dunn bring the Highpoint sound to a whole new level. Highpoint continues to write, record, and perform songs about life, loss, pain, and pleasure
