HighSchool Jacob is one of the most exciting artists in pop right now, with a refreshing sound and thoroughly empathetic songwriting approach that appeals to listeners the world over. Jacob has developed a sound that is full-bodied and eccentric, reminiscent of electronic pop auteurs like Porches and Still Woozy, as well as the 1975’s effervescent pop-rock approach and the lush production touches of behind-the-boards wizards like Tyler, the Creator and Pharrell. “I’ve been focused on making music that’s accessible and emotionally engaging,” he says while discussing the particulars of his own sound. “I try to write from multiple perspectives and analyze who the messengers actually are, from a songwriting point of view.”
