Debuted from Nippon Columbia in 1981 with the single "So Many Times" and the album "Just Call Me Penny". Released 13 original albums including "NEXT DOOR" and "SEXY ROBOT".
In 1988, she performed live with Eric Gale, Richard Tee, Randy Jackson, Mike Baird, Junji Yamagishi, and the Water Sisters.
In recent years, the city pop/future funk side of her music has been re-evaluated globally, and in 2023 she sang and wrote lyrics for Night Tempo's album. She has also been actively performing live.
