Hey! I am Hotline Bikadi, a music producer and live act from Berlin.
I create trippy mid-tempo music with groovy basslines, hypnotic melodies, and shuffled beats, wrapped in a bubbling psychedelic soundscape.
When I perform live, the tempo ranges between 110-120 BPM. It's a bit slower but twice as driving. In my live sets, it's important to me not to just play my tracks linearly, but to be able to bring them into a new context each time and to respond to the mood of the audience. For this, I use pre-produced loops and connect them with improvised basslines, drum patterns, and synthesizers.
