Houman Javid

Houman Javid was born on 26th of October 1973 in Tehran / Iran. He has started his singing career since early teenage time in 1987.
He studied classical guitar under guidance of Alen Gharbi and Behdad Moghaddasi.
He soon discovered that his passion lay more in western popular styles, which led him to start doing covers of a variety of pop, rock n' roll and jazz songs as well as Iranian pop and folk music.
He has appeared in 6 music albums, from 1999 to 2012 in Iran, named as "Own Shadow" (music and production by: Babak Amini), "Dar-e-Ghali" (music and production by Raz-e-Shab , "Ziba Zi" (music and production by Ramin Behna), "Roobeh-e-Ashegh" (Raz-e-Shab Band), "Trial & Error" Imusic & production by Babak Riyahipour and "Shah Mahi" (music and production by Houman Javid & Babak Zarrin) and also in different single songs and movie sound-tracks.
He has moved to Toronto / Canada with his wife and kids since December 2014 and continued his musical career mostly in vocal coaching. He has performed on stage in over 40 live concerts in Iran and Canada.
In addition to leading his own band, he has collaborated with several other bands such as Raz-e Shab, Rumi and Darkoob.
He is also an architect, realtor and project manager.
