Citing a diverse array of influences, including <a href="spotify:artist:6Ghvu1VvMGScGpOUJBAHNH" data-name="Deftones">Deftones</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4DFhHyjvGYa9wxdHUjtDkc" data-name="A Perfect Circle">A Perfect Circle</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:56dO9zeHKuU5Gvfc2kxHNw" data-name="Chevelle">Chevelle</a>, Canadian/American superstar progressive metal/alt-rock trio Hundred Suns were founded in 2013 around the talents of <a href="spotify:artist:55b0Gfm53udtGBs8mmNXrH" data-name="Norma Jean">Norma Jean</a> vocalist Cory Brandan, <a href="spotify:artist:0o7WWONtleH6PWLn5GIoCM" data-name="Every Time I Die">Every Time I Die</a> drummer Ryan Leger, and <a href="spotify:artist:3FKqMkoFh9xrkoLey9rpEC" data-name="Dead And Divine">Dead And Divine</a> guitarist/vocalist Chris LeMasters. In 2016 Hundred Suns headed into the studio with producer/engineer Sam Guaiana (<a href="spotify:artist:5VKmfBc2pR80IxYoC1gHyH" data-name="Like Pacific">Like Pacific</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1Tsag5J854qxeOo2apszug" data-name="Silverstein">Silverstein</a>), vocal engineer/producer Jeremy S.H. Griffith (<a href="spotify:artist:55b0Gfm53udtGBs8mmNXrH" data-name="Norma Jean">Norma Jean</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3GzWhE2xadJiW8MqRKIVSK" data-name="Underoath">Underoath</a>), and producer/mixer (and <a href="spotify:artist:1NUOfvAhA9AvsF1ISMkgHX" data-name="Saosin">Saosin</a> guitarist) Beau Burchell (<a href="spotify:artist:2pumHFoeb64XWvvGoGqsIr" data-name="Blaqk Audio">Blaqk Audio</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7nqSDaZKccpnUqjzedyZF4" data-name="The Bronx">The Bronx</a>) to lay down tracks for their debut album.
