The White Noise are a melodic post-hardcore outfit based in Los Angeles. The group's roots lie in Dallas, Texas, where singer/guitarist David Southern and drummer Alex Summers began working under the name Set the Sun in 2009. Initially more of a metalcore project with an aggressive dirty/clean vocal split, Set the Sun recorded two EPs and numerous singles in their first five years. Having cycled through several different lineups, Summers departed in 2013, leaving Southern as the sole founding member. Repopulating the band with an entirely new lineup, Southern rebranded the group as the White Noise in 2014, signifying a distinct change in sound to a more melodic hardcore approach. Now based in California, the newly christened quintet signed with <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Fearless+Records%22">Fearless Records</a> in 2015 and released a pair of singles, "Bloom" and "Red Eye Lids," followed a year later by the Aren't You Glad?
