Hurricane is on a mission to greatness. Hailing from Luton Town. He creates sonic compositions bewitched with the influence of the Y2K greats. Hurricane's musical ability first began with his Caribbean Black British roots, eventually manifesting into his early teenage-hood when the young hopeful self-taught himself how to play the piano.
This simultaneously grew to breed an urge to explore music & programmes such as FL Studio and Reason, amalgamated with the ever-growing UK grime scene - which at the time was heavily championed by Channel U.
A pivotal sound change came when Hurricane discovered the Soulection collective,
steering towards a softer R&B influence. Hurricane says his musical triggers come from “spontaneity or hearing a chord sequence.”. While the producer insists his music should not be boxed into one genre, due to the complexities, listeners may spot influences from RnB, Soul, Afrobeats, Rap,Future beats & more.
Hurricane’s music is an idiosyncratic time-bomb that’s set to blow in the coming years. Recently the talent has been championed by Complex, Vogue ,Atwood Mag& Kiss100. At the end of 2020 Hurricane also got recognition from major US music producer, Timbaland by winning his Beatclub competition. Along with Radio Dj’s such as RinseFM’s Jyoty , Jamz Supernova of BBC1xtr and Soulection’s Joe Kay, equally have all joined the Hurricane Music movement, plugging their listeners to the sound.
