Platt & Samrai initially began Swing Ting as a specialist radio show before becoming a party in December 2008. In 2011 the pair began releasing productions under the "Swing Ting" moniker with the dances moving to arguably the UK’s finest club venue, Soup Kitchen, where they took place every 3rd Saturday of the month for over eight years. Crowd favourites Fox, Murlo & Joey B joined the resident team in 2012.
Winter 2014 saw the inception of the Swing Ting label, seeking to provide a platform to release fresh music from the family as well as from friends, peers and like-minded producers.
Platt & Samrai have also built a strong reputation behind the boards releasing a raft of strong singles and their critically acclaimed "Junction EP". The pair have racked up extensive production credits alongside vocalists Blvk H3ro, Bobby Blackbird, Fox, Shanique Marie, RTKal, Alexx A-Game, Kemikal, Gemma Dunleavy & Tyler Daley as well as remixing Busy Signal, Equiknoxx, Gappy Ranks, Florentino, Kayday Cain & J Hus. The crew have developed a loyal and reputable following beyond just the UK - taking the Swing Ting sound on the road with bookings across Europe, Asia, North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Their first album "100 Dances" is the culmination of over a decade of running parties and producing. From early doors warmers to peak time dance-floor tackle, Samrai & Platt lay the foundation for their collaborators to shine, channeling 11 years of soundsystem navigation.
