Coming of age around the millennium in a part of Northern Europe where most raves where held in local sports halls, bouncing around other teenagers in Adidas track suits, Buffalo boots and bucket hats, there’s no doubt about what has shaped the sound and aesthetics of HyperionORBIT sonically.
Already spinning techno tunes across the dancefloors under his alter ego Otaku, the Copenhagen based artist always had another part of his mind focused on finding the perfect entity to host his wilder influences. Leaning heavily on the legacy of Goa and Frankfurt alike – along with the contemporary sounds of his group of friends Tonni3000, DJ Reiz, Walfroy and Red Scan - he gradually brought all these trajectories into a take on trance he could take ownership of. With a dab of psy-trance, some trippy synths and a high bpm count, HyperionORBIT delivers a very melodic and euro centric take on psychedelic trance music, along with a big old smile beaming out from the dj booth
