Edwin Crewe a.k.a. I Jahson was born 1970 in Zimbabwe.
1995 he moved to Austria.
Over the years I Jahson has been working with several local bands, such as "Ras & Roots" or "Rikitik". He has also shared the stage with international artists, such as Anthony B, Chuck Fenda, Marcia Griffiths, Lee Scratch Perry and many more.
His first Single titled "Source of Life" was released in 2011, followed by "Iraq" and "Yard".
"Guidance", the debut album includes a collab with the South African artist "Black Dillinger" as well as his first 3 singles.
This 17-track masterpiece was produced by Richvibes Records, released on May 23rd, 2014.
From 2013 until May 2019 I Jahson was backed by the "Mystik Band".
After the sudden passing of the leader, the band was reformed.
From that they go by the name "Kaya Roots Band".
In 2018 the artist worked together the Jamaican label "Highrise Empire".
They released two singles titled "TK"
and "Good Over Evil".
After a successful Europe tour in 2018 he had several appearances on big festivals in 2019, such as the "One Love Reggae Festival" in Austria.
During the start of the pandemic, I Jahson recorded his 2nd album titled "Good Over Evil", released in 2023.
After touring Europe, Africa and the UK, the artist is set to release his latest album "Stronger" early 2025!
